WHAT: Memorial Service for International Tennis Hall of Famer
Jack Kramer, who died Sept. 12 at age 88. Kramer led the US Davis Cup team to two titles, won the Wimbledon men’s singles title in 1947 and the United States Championships in 1946 and ’47. He was the No. 1 player in the world until 1954; served as a tireless promoter of tennis for more than 60 years, father of “Open Tennis;” founder of the ATP; television commentator; fundraiser; innovator; Tournament Director of the LA Tennis Open; and President of the Southern California Tennis Association.
