Distribute printed information and answer general questions about USTA and other programs. Answers to these general questions are provided.
Practice Courts
This position requires assisting tournament staff to prepare and maintain courts for player practice sessions. Duties include collecting towels, balls, trash and other miscellaneous items left by players, and may require communication with the transportation staff to assist players arriving and leaving from the practice courts.
Press Room
This position assists the media coordinator with miscellaneous office work, keeping snack and work areas clean.
Scoreboard
Assisting with the scoreboard and radar gun on either court. (This may not be a viewing position for all matches.)
Sponsor Assistance/Fast Serve Cage
This position assists with the operations of the "Fast Serve Cage" and other miscellaneous sponsor needs.
Transportation
This position requires those 25 years and older to drive the Official Tournament cars and transport players,tournament officials, and other tournament VIPs to the tournament hotels, the airport, and various tournament-related sites.
Ushering
This position involves directing spectators to their seats as well as other areas within the site, making sure all tickets are checked, and answering any questions about the tournament. Requires a strong desire to help people and the ability to stand during the entire shift if necessary.
Vip/Will-Call
This position entails greeting VIP guests and Sponsors at a booth at the main entrance. Duties include filing, checking-in guests on a provided list, answering general questions regarding the site and tournament play (this information provided). Requires strong customer service skills and rapport with the public.
Volunteer Check-In
Help greet Volunteer staff and Volunteer Ushers, answering questions pertaining to volunteer status (if staff is not available). Checking-in volunteers, and assisting volunteer staff and usher coordinators in maintaining and supporting the volunteer corps during the tournament.
