For the first time in the 84-year history of the tournament, both the singles and doubles champions were successful in defending their titles.

In singles, second seed Sam Querrey defeated top seed Andy Murray 5-7, 7-6(2) 6-3.

In doubles, Bob and Mike Bryan, claimed their sixth title in a LA and won a record 62nd title over all with a 6-7(6) 6-2 10-7 win over Eric Butorac and Jean-Julien Rojer.

Below are notes recapping both matches:

- Querrey is the first player to repeat as champion at Farmers Classic, presented by Mercedes-Benz, since Andre Agassi did so in 2001 and 2002.

- Querrey fought off a match point at 30-40 when trailing 4-5 in the second set against Murray. He also fought off a match point at the same stage of his semifinal match against Janko Tipsarevic.

- Querrey is the first player since Spaniard Albert Montanes in Estoril in April 2009 to win two matches from match point down in the same tournament. Montanes saved two match points in the final against James Blake and one match point in the quarterfinals against Gilles Simon.

- Querrey, who saved one match point in the final of Belgrade in May (d. Isner), is also the first player to win at least two ATP World Tour titles saving match point in the same season since Andy Roddick did it three times in 2003 (Queen's, Cincinnati, US Open).

- Querrey has won four titles in 2010. In addition to LA, he won in Memphis (d. Isner), Belgrade (d. Isner) and Queen's Club (d. Fish) and was the finalist in Houston (l. to Chela).

- Querrey owns six career titles in 11 career ATP World Tour finals.

- Querrey was the 2009 Olympus US Open Series champion, and is now tied for the lead in the 2010 standings with countryman Mardy Fish.

- Querrey is the 28th American champion at Farmers Classic in the Open Era. At least one American has contested the LA final 35 times in the 43 Open Era years.

- Murray was playing in LA for the first time, but was appearing in his fourth final in California. He won titles in San Jose in 2006 and 2007, and reached the final at Indian Wells in 2009.

- Murray was appearing in his final since the Australian Open earlier this year (l. to Federer) and the 22nd of his career.

- This was the fifth time the top two seeds played for the title at Farmers Classic, and the first time since 1999:

- This was Querrey's first career win over Murray in their fifth meeting. Querrey had never previously won a set off the Scot.

- At No. 4 in the World, Murray is the highest ranked player Querrey has ever beaten. Prior to this match, the highest ranked player Querrey had ever defeated was No. 5 Andy Roddick in Cincinnati in 2009.

- Bob and Mike Bryan established an all-time record by claiming their 62nd career title. The win moves them past the Australian team of Todd Woodbridge and Mark Woodforde, who won 61 and were inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in July.

- The Bryans extend their tournament record to six titles in LA, with wins 2001, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2010. They have won 16-straight matches in LA (the Bryan missed the 2008 event to play in the Olympics).

- The Bryans wre appearing in their 100th career ATP World Tour doubles final.

- The 2011 Farmers Classic, presented by Mercedes-Benz, will be held July 25-31 at the LA Tennis Center.
