Farmers Classic to Partner with Brener Zwikel & Associates

Farmers Classic Presented by Mercedes-Benz Tournament Director Bob Kramer has announced that Los Angeles-based sports PR and marketing firm Brener Zwikel & Associates has been retained to promote the 86th annual tournament to be held at the LA Tennis Center on the campus of UCLA July 23 - 29, 2012.

"We are delighted to be back and working with BZA PR, a relationship that dates back more than 20 years," Kramer said. "We have a storied history and past and are excited to present world-class professional tennis to Los Angeles once again this summer."

In 2012, the Farmers Classic will feature a 28-player singles draw and a 16-team doubles competition. The landmark Southern California ATP tournament is the longest running annual professional sporting event in Los Angeles, and offers total player compensation in excess of $1 million.

The Farmers Classic boasts a globally diverse playing field as a member of the ATP World Tour and the Emirates Airline US Open Series. In 2010 raised more than $500,000 for charity, including the tournament beneficiary -- the non-profit Southern California Tennis Association.

In addition to a historic tennis tournament, Farmers Classic features numerous special events, including concerts, youth clinics and USTA member activities. Several hospitality options are available for fans, from suites and VIP terrace seating overlooking the Straus Stadium court to an option-filled food court. These extras augment the world-class tennis event that annually adds to its storied history.

Media credentialing will be handled similar to the last few years and media members will be notified when the credential applications are available online.
